Sarah was born in Sussex, New Brunswick and left in 1997 to attend the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design, as one of 2 recipients of the Centennial Entrance Scholarship. She spent the summer and fall of 2001 traveling throughout Europe painting. In 2002 she returned settling in British Columbia, painting the forested West Coast landscape and the urban street life of Vancouver while becoming a journeyman cabinet maker. Sarah traveled to Jamaica in 2007 for the first time and fell in love with the people and with painting its lush tropical landscape. In June 2013 Sarah returned to Sussex to pursue her career as a full time artist. Since returning she has had 2 solo shows at the Sussex Art Gallery, May 2014 and May 2015 and her most recent exhibit of Saint John Landscapes January 13th – March 3rd 2017 in the Frazee Gallery at Saint John Arts Centre.
